OUR PHILOSOPHY & MISSION STATEMENT:
“Fabrication for Revit Tools” is focused on conforming to the company that uses the tool. This means that all branding and company standards are taken in to account for the end user and loaded through settings to allow the user to define what their firm needs are and how it will fit into the company’s picture for ultimate success. This tool isn’t about being the new kid on the block, and boasting it’s name across the industry. This tool is about making the end user’s life less repetitious and for creating a unique experience based on the company’s standards and goals.
Our goal in all that we code and develop is for shear compatibility, through a tried and tested approach, with a membership through Alliance. As a member of Alliance, these set of tools are bound to comply that the application tools and interface will be compatible with other Revit .addins in the Alliance group, as well as being centrally focused on integrating and operating within Revit natively. This means that all tools are identical in formatting and operate as if they are cohesive to out-of-the-box Revit. Our promise is that these tools will comply with everything outlined here/within, and we encourage you to give the tools a try where you will see this come to light.

The project information tool ensures that all information that needs to be communicated to the fabrication team is input correctly. The values input here are associated to the title block for successful information delivery on every job.
The create assembly button is the core of the application. Allowing the user to specify which items belong to which assemblies for accurate bill of materials and communication to fabrication team members. This tool allows the user to associate assembly and sheet settings, saved by the user to match firm standards, for precision and routine fabrication spool sheet creation and delivery.
The assembly editor is a powerful tool that relies on the users settings to accurately associate saved settings to preexisting assemblies. This tool allows the user to specify which assemblies in order are relevant to the overall construction project.
PLACE, ALIGN, & RENUMBER BALLOONS
The “Place, Align, & Renumber Balloons” tool aids in fabrication sheet preparation.
The “Split MEP” tool allows the user to input a variable in which to split pipe or duct at given intervals. The tool functions similarly to optimize lengths; however, the tool allows the individual to select one single branch line at a time, and to manually override general fabrication settings based on fabrication needs.
The “Query Assembly” tool allows the user to rapidly adjust spool sheet layout, assembly names, and numbers on the fly. This tool ensures the fabrication sheets being generated comply with company standards for fabrication and aid in communicating design intent.
The “Assembly Settings” tool allows users to store standard assembly creation processes into Revit for future use with the “Create Assembly” tool.

The “Store Sheet Layout” tool allows the user to select a conventional assembly or titleblock layout and to store it into a library of sheet layouts to call upon later. This allows for autonomous scheduling, view, and sheet creation.
The “Sheet Settings” tool allows the user to manage stored sheets information, allowing the user the ability to quickly rename, and renumber assemblies.
The “Spool Assemblies” tool allows the user to autonomously create fabrication assembly spool drawings at the click of the button. The tool allows the user to select an assembly, or set of assemblies, and to select a stored fabrication sheet. The tool then autonomously creates the specified schedules, views, and sheets. Reducing the overall “spooling” process in an optimized way that takes seconds. Reducing time, increasing quality, and ensuring integrity to the fabrication shop.
b.o.m. (bill of materials)
The “B.O.M. or Bill of Materials” tool allows the user to export a schedule, or all schedules, to a single or multiple document format. This tool will match the formatting of the existing schedule, auto align columns and widths, and allow for a rapid bill of materials for the purpose of ordering parts for the job site.
